Hello Everyone,
A friendly reminder regarding the Community Open House scheduled on Monday, November 28 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Northwest Trades & Employment Training Centre in Terrace (formerly Thornhill Junior Secondary School). Ministry of Education staff and educators, along with our district staff will be hosting the community session.
Currently, student progress is reported in many different ways, including report cards, parent/teacher meetings and regular student/parent/teacher check-ins. The Ministry of Education has updated the curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 9. Now you are being asked to share your thoughts on report cards and all types of progress reporting. Your ideas about what would make student reporting better are valuable and we want to hear them!
Drop in to the informal Community Open House on November 28 anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. … then take part in a fun brainstorming workshop from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy some refreshments, light snacks and good conversation, and help us shape the future of student progress reports in B.C.
